Building on California’s Gains in Health Care Coverage & Access to Care

As federal efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA) continue, California could lose the significant gains it has made reducing the state’s uninsured rate by half and providing health care coverage and access for 5.5 million newly insured Californians.

As core safety-net hospitals, PEACH member hospitals are extremely concerned that any federal ACA repeal, replacement and reform measures preserve these vital advances that are improving the health, economic stability and quality of life for everyone in the low-income communities we serve.

PEACH is committed to working collaboratively with elected and administration officials to ensure that Medi-Cal and Covered California can deliver high-value care, improve health outcomes and maintain a strong safety net for underserved communities throughout our state.
